Roadtrip II Series

2019
This series is dedicated to my roadtrip taken July of 2019 with my sister, Cecilia and a portion my dear friend, Jenna.  We traveled from western New York to Chicago, through Nebraska and Kansas to Fort Collins where we remained for a day and set off to Hulbert, Oklahoma through Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ohio and back to Rochester, NY.  Each day is a journal or a 'mindmap' of events.
Beginning with loose marks from memory, I build a raw composition of the daily events.  Gradually as my washes elaborate and enliven the map certain elements become more detailed while others fade and become simplified, much like a memory.
the day I made sure I brought stamps the day we indulged in JbeiBs, JT, and JTay the day it took 20 minutes to fill up a tank of gas the day we were tourists at the beach the day we drove and discussed politics and heard an obscene amount of podcasts. the day started our journey .

the day we saw a giraffes, two camels and some snakes the day we saw many tiny plates the day we questioned the importance of grapes the day we napped in the car and searched for stars through the streetlight's gait.

the day we met again. the day we saw the famous creek. the day we learned about his new life. the day we kept an eye on the time. the day we met two wee kittens, some pigs, and cows. the day we admired the flower garden.
